About the RTI Act

Educational institutions recognized by the government including colleges fall under section 4(1)(b) and sections 2(h) of the RTI Act. They must provide information unless exempt under section 8.

Shree Bhagwan Datt Mahila Mahavidyalaya complies with university grants commissions (UGC) guidelines and has a designated public information officer (PIO) handle RTI Queries.

The right to information (RTI) Act 2005, empowers citizens to request information from public authorities, promoting transparency and accountability, citizen have the right to access information regarding the functioning and decisions of the institution.
