SEXUAL HARASSMENT COMMITTEE

SBD Mahila College is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students, staff, and faculty, free from sexual harassment. The college strictly adheres to the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.

The Sexual Harassment Committee (SHC) is responsible for preventing and addressing any incidents of sexual harassment on campus. The committee ensures all complaints are handled promptly, confidentially, and with due diligence.

Objectives of the Committee:

• To create a safe and supportive environment on campus for all genders.
• To implement UGC and government guidelines regarding sexual harassment.
• To organize awareness programs, workshops, and counseling sessions.
• To receive, investigate, and resolve complaints in a confidential manner.
• To recommend appropriate disciplinary action based on investigations.

UGC Guidelines Followed:

• Zero-tolerance towards sexual harassment and gender discrimination.
• Strict adherence to internal complaints procedure and timelines.
• Periodic training, sensitization workshops, and awareness campaigns.
• Confidential handling of complaints and protection against retaliation.
