SC / ST CELL
The SC/ST Cell of SBD Mahila College is established to safeguard the interests of students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). The cell works towards ensuring equal opportunities, social justice, and the overall welfare of students through various academic and support initiatives.
The committee actively monitors issues related to discrimination, promotes inclusive education, and implements government policies and UGC guidelines for the welfare and development of SC/ST students within the institution.
Objectives of the SC/ST Cell:
- To ensure equal educational opportunities for SC/ST students.
- To address grievances related to discrimination or inequality.
- To promote awareness about scholarships and welfare schemes.
- To provide academic and social support to students.
- To implement UGC and government policies effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring implementation of reservation policies.
- Organizing awareness programs and counseling sessions.
- Maintaining records of SC/ST students for support initiatives.
- Ensuring a safe and inclusive campus environment.
